Our beautiful rural centre is nestled in the heart of Whitford. We are conveniently located close to Beachlands, Mareatai, Flatbush and Howick. The welcoming farm like grounds give the children the unique opportunity to extend their leaning in both the indoor and outdoor classrooms, creating an holistic approach to learning. Whether the children are engaging with the Reggio inspired resources, taking care of the animals, climbing trees, going for walks or exploring the ‘mud kitchen’ there is something to suit every child.
Whitford Learning Cetre has been providing quality education and care for over 25 years. The centre is well routed in the Whitford community and prides itself in continuing to care for children in an explorative space that connects them to the natural environment.

Our Philosophy

Here are Whitford we believe that every child has their own unique learning ‘language’ that is influential to unlocking their natural curiosity. The teaching team, with the inspiration of the Reggio Emilia and R.I.E philosophies, take the time to interpret each child’s learning ‘language’ and tailor their learning programmes accordingly. We believe that the role of the teacher is to encourage children to become life long learners.
